11. Harry Potter Weekend Marathon

by 4linnea

Sometimes all you need is a Harry Potter weekend marathon.  Not only does this end your week on a great note, but also starts the upcoming week that way too.  You just can’t lose.  During a Harry Potter weekend marathon, you’re kinda just more grateful for the day.  That’s cool.  Being grateful for each day is hard, but living that way is so satisfying (much like reading a Harry Potter book).  With Harry Potter, if you’re a fan, you’ve got this connection to millions of other people, something more than the connection of being human.  I like that.

The recent Harry Potter movie marathon weekend has set my week on a positive path.  This week has been really, really busy already, but somehow each day, I’m learning to be happy through the stress.  I am not depriving myself of happy things rather, rewarding myself for getting things done- because friend, that’s what life’s about, celebrating the little accomplishments… like finishing a chapter in a book or writing a page of a paper then taking a walk to get a chocolate milkshake (of course! that happened).  (Speaking of chapters, the other day on one of my favorite blogs, 100awesomethings.com, they listed the #284th awesome thing as “When the chapters in the book you’re reading are really short”.  Isn’t that the best.  Truly awesome.)

The HP movie marathon also brought with it gorgeous weather for the week.  Xie Xie!  It’s so nice that my toes get to feel the air and experience the sunshine- along with that came a nice coat of OP’s Vodka & Caviar– so they are starting new.  That’s what spring brings- rebirth, new life, and Harry Potter movie marathon weekends.

P.S. This post is dedicated to Neville Longbottom (my fav. HP character, yo) & also to Matthew Lewis (the actor who plays him in the movies) beacuse he is actaully dericiuos now.
